A copy of our Disposal Service conditions and charges are prominently displayed in all Barnes & Fadden showroom locations and through links on each page of the Barnes & Fadden website. Copies are available upon request from any Barnes & Fadden showroom.

1. PLEASE NOTE. Do not place old items due for collection, disposal and/or recycling by Barnes & Fadden Ltd. outside your home.

Our delivery team are instructed not to touch or remove old beds, mattresses or furniture if they are placed outside your home and have been exposed to the elements (even if they are dry and covered), irrespective of any charge that may have been made for their removal. In such circumstances, the homeowner will then be responsible for making their own disposal arrangements with the local council, and a full refund of the Barnes & Fadden disposal charge will be made.

2. Subject to vehicle space constrictions, the removal, recycle or disposal collection of old items is provided on a like-for-like (or similar) basis, and completed at the same time as your new furniture is delivered, but only if pre-booked and documented before your delivery arrives.

3. Should you change your mind after purchase (but before your deliverey has been made) and require your old items to be removed for recycling/disposal, then please contact Barnes & Fadden on 0208 770 0770, where we will be happy to arrange this service for you at the applicable charge listed below.

4. Under no circumstances can the removal, recycle, or disposal service be arranged with the delivery team when they call ‘on the day’.

5. We ask customers to ensure that old beds, bedframes, mattresses etc. pre-arranged for removal and recycling are stripped of all linen, and that all wooden and metal bedframes, Bed surrounds, Bunk/Cabin beds, large sectional wardrobes etc. are fully dismantled prior to their removal from the property.

6. If you are unable to dismantle an item ready for disposal/recycling, then our delivery team can perform this task at a charge of £35 per item to be dismantled, providing this is pre-arrange before the delivery otherwise the delivery team may (due to time restraints) have to re-schedule your delivery for another day.

7. Should our delivery team be unable to complete your delivery due to circumstances highlighted in point 5 above, then an alternative date will be made to re-deliver your delivery/removal, irrespective of all prior date or time arrangements made for the performance of this service.

8. Whilst Barnes & Fadden may agree, and with the utmost care, remove and dispose of your old furniture from a customers property, responsibility for any damage caused, whether consequential or otherwise, during the removal of such items from within a property, will always remain with the customer.

If for any reason you believe the removal of such old furniture may cause damage to your property, you have a responsibility to request the delivery team immediately stop the removal process, and contact Barnes & Fadden to arrange for an alternative removal/disposal process to be conducted. Responsibility for the removal of old items from a property will always remain that of the customer.
